The Chippewa Valley Forage Council will host its annual spring seminar on March 8 at the Back 40 Dining and Cocktails from 11:30am to 3:00pm. Forage, dairy, and livestock farmers are invited to attend.
Speakers and topics include Scott Newell, Division of Extension Alfalfa Outreach Specialist, “Alfalfa challenges and opportunities”; Katie Wantoch, Division of Extension Farm Management Outreach Specialist, “Recordkeeping methods and retention standards in the new year”; Leonard Polzin, Division of Extension Dairy Market Outreach Specialist, “Dairy Market Update”; Bill Halfman, Division of Extension, Beef Outreach Specialist, “Growth performance and carcass traits of Beef x Holstein and Holstein steers”; Lyssa Seefeldt, Division of Extension, Dairy Educator, Chippewa, Dunn, Eau Claire counties, “Fats in the dairy diet”; and Jay Pursell of Agri-King.
